ABSTRACT:
At Severn, technology runs our world. As such, it is increasingly important that Severn students have access to a current and efficient computer. I will be creating, from scratch, 1 PC that will be hosted in the Teel building of Severn’s campus. This computer, with extensions for various purposes, will be found in the GIC. Using materials found in the GIC as well as bought materials, I will manually construct a computer that will be available to the general population of Severn students. Based on CAD software, I will design and prototype a build as well as aesthetic additions to create an inviting piece of technology for all students. During this time, I will be documenting my process to make available a free, beginner-friendly guide to creating a personal computer for users around the globe.
